Eyes

Eyes are one of my favorite features on people. So I thought I would share pictures of my little family's eyes.

Dave has green eyes with a little blue

I have hazel green eyes

Even though Vanessa's eye color looks light blue, they have a green tinge to them. They are diamond cutting eyes! Gorgeous!

Chandler has the most interesting eyes!

His right eye is brown, and his left eye is blue

So far Ashton's eye color is blue, but it seems like he might be getting some green too!

From the mouth of Babes!

I decided to travel back in time and reminisce about the funny things that comes out of the mouth of our little Vanessa!!! When Vanessa was, oh about 2 years and 5 months old she said the funniest thing, at least to us! We told her that it is her Aunt Becky's birthday and that she is turning "24" years old. Vanessa got this puzzled look on her face and then she was almost mad about it and said, "Becky's not in 24, Jack Bauer is in 24!" For all those "24" fans out there, you'll understand how funny this was to us! Don't worry Vanessa only saw a couple episodes and after the nightmares we decided to not let her watch! ha ha j/k, gotta have some humor sometime!

The hosts are so sweet & friendly!

Today was a fun day; I went with my friend Marci, Lisa and her mom, Joan and her sister, Amy to watch Good Things Utah! It was a great experience to be behind the scenes! The reason why we went to view the show live was because my friend Lisa had her Crepe Ensenada recipe demonstrated on the show! Congratulations Lisa! The people on the set and hosts were all so friendly and welcomed us there!

Binky Man

As of Thursday, June 14th, 2006 we have endured the trial of making Chandler give up his binky! You may say, well I thought he already gave it up? NO, he still had it at naps and bed time because he is such a possessive little boy. He quickly gets attached to things and yes you could say he is a momma's boy. He is really struggling with absence of his binky. The first night he did pretty well because we gave him a new car to help him out. He cried for three hours straight when I tried to give him his nap the very next day! He finally cried himself to sleep. He asks why he can't have his binky! We told him Binky man came to take it. Who is Binky man? Shhhh, Binky man is someone we made up to help ease the pain. He looks similar to Santa Claus and he comes to take the binky's from bigger kids and gives them to little babies like Ashton, who don't have binkies. It's been four days and he is doing much better but still having such a hard time. It will probably take about a month to forget about his binky!

Three Months Old

Ashton turned three months old today! He has grown so much too! He went from a small 5 lbs 13 oz. to 12 lbs 2 oz! Even though he has grown so much he is still below average in weight, head size, and height. He is 29 percentile in weight, 19 percentile in head size and only 12 percentile in height! He has made some progress in the last two days with being alert. Just barely he went from sleeping all day always to being awake for at least 4-5 hours altogether. He doesn't like us keeping him lying down anymore, he wants to sit up (with our help) and explore the gift of sight. He enjoys his goo-goo's and ga-ga's and loves to smile and flirt with you! He found the joy of sucking on his fists a month ago and uses it especially when he is hungry and I can't get to him fast enough. He has brought so much joy into our family! Chandler loves to caress Ashton's arms, hug him and love him! Vanessa will try to feed Ashton a bottle to show that she can help out, and she asks for her daily holding of Ashton! They are such good siblings! We will keep you posted on his progress each month!

I Love to See the Temple!

I Love to see the Temple, I finally gone someday!!!! I am so grateful to have the blessings of the temple!
I also Love taking pictures! I want to be a photographer someday! I really enjoy taking pictures of the temple, especially when there is a sunset behind it. Here are a few pictures I have taken of the Jordan River Temple and the Salt Lake City Temple! Enjoy!

Sebu the Blue

On Friday, June 1st we welcomed our new addition to the family, a little blue deer head chihuahua. We found him at Gizmos Chihuahuas, a breeder from Las Vegas. The Breeder drove our new pup all the way out here so we wouldn't have to ship him since that can be very stressful on a puppy. We named him Sebu (pronounced say-boo) the Blue, he is named after a song called "Sebu" from Veggietales. He is adorable; he has such a cute face and a fun little personality. Although, I was a little disappointed on his size! He is not much smaller than TiKa, we were hoping that he'd end up her size but he is already 2 lbs. 6 oz. at 10 weeks old! TiKa was barely a pound at that age. But he'll be able to withstand the kids easier with the extra weight. According to the chihuahua weight chart he'll end up about 6 lbs. as an adult. The breeder said that he would be only 3-4 lbs as an adult since his parents are about that. He came from two apple head chihuahuas, the dad's name is Malcom, a blue and white chihuahua and the mommy's name is Mandy, a tan chihuahua. Vanessa and Chandler really like him. We bought this puppy for Dave, so it is his chihuahua. He is coming along on potty-training and doing very well with eating and drinking! We are really excited to have him!

Happy Birthday TiKa!!!

Well who is TiKa? WiKa TiKa Boo is our 3.2 lb. purebred black/tan chihuahua. Not many people know we have her because when people come over we don't dare to let her out and about because of her small size. TiKa came to us by plane from Hemp, Texas back in July of last year. The kids thought it was so neat to meet their new puppy at the airport! TiKa was my early graduation gift. I was a little nervous about the potty training while I was a full-time student still but she aced it in a week! So TiKa turned a year old today and she probably won't gain any more weight, unless she decides to eat a whole lot more! We love having TiKa as a part of our family. She loves playing with Vanessa and Chandler. She dodges them pretty good when they are running around. Vanessa and Chandler are pretty gentle with TiKa, with her being so small. TiKa knows the basic commands and is very eager to learn more new tricks in the future! We plan on her growing old with us! Happy Birthday TiKa! We love you!

Fun at Arctic O

Today we enjoyed having our lunch at Arctic Circle with Becky and her son Jacen (20 months old) along with my friend Kimberly and her sons Ciaran (3 yrs. old) and Cabhan (pronounced Cavin, who is 22 mo. old). We enjoyed the food and the kids enjoyed the playground after we finished eating. It's fun to watch the kids and see how their personalities come out. Vanessa made friends with everyone and two boys especially took a liking to her. (What am I going to do when she becomes a teenager?!) Chandler obviously doesn't like crowds, he even told us that he hates the kids (a word that Vanessa picked up from preschool and only said once, now Chandler is always saying it and we're trying to fix that). He is a bit timid and shy and takes awhile to warm up, but Dave said he was exactly like that when he was Chandler's age so it really shouldn't bother me now. Jacen seems to be a little like Chandler, but I think we have to wait a little longer to see how he turns out. Ciaran and Cabhan are pretty easy-going kids, Cabhan was a little tired and sad. We really did have a fun time!
