And the winner of American Idol is....

DAVID COOK!
at least in my opinion! My favorite song that he has sung so far is "The Music of the Night" from the Phantom of the Opera!

Ashton says "DAD"

This isn't the first time Ashton has said "dad", but usually he has said "da-da", so I have been working with him on saying "dad"! He can also say "mom", "ball" and "I love you". It is sure cute and fun to see what our little baby accomplishes!

Another clip of Ashton's bum skoot

I wanted everyone to see how fast Ashton can really bum skoot!

Tooth Fairy visits the 2nd time!

Vanessa lost her 2nd tooth! Last time the Tooth Fairy didn't come until almost the morning of the next day after Vanessa had put her tooth under the pillow because the Tooth Fairy had a hard time getting into our house. This time the Tooth Fairy made a Magic door so she could get into Vanessa's room easily. She left Vanessa fifty cents, a fairy toy and a letter I wrote from the Tooth fairy.

April 21, 2008

Dear Vanessa,

Wow! You lost another one of your baby teeth! I am sorry it took me longer to get your first tooth but I had a hard time getting into your room so I decided to make you a door so that I can collect your tooth without any problems for the rest of your teeth..

Your beautiful tooth will help me build my Magical Tooth Fairy Castle! I am making a castle out of all the little girl’s and boy’s baby teeth, and once I am done building my castle I will throw the rest of your teeth up in the sky and they will turn into Shimmering Stars!

I am very proud of you. Vanessa you are growing up and part of growing up means taking good care of your teeth. I can tell you have been brushing your teeth because they are shiny, healthy and I see No cavities. Keep brushing your teeth and eat healthy so you won’t get any cavities because I can’t take any teeth with cavities! I know your tooth will be one of the best in my fairy collection. I have left something special in place of your tooth.

Until next time~

Like Father Like Daughter!

We have asked Vanessa what she wants to be when she grows up, over time she has come up with a few different things. First, she told us she wanted to be a firefighter, another was a Veterinarian (like mommy always wanted to be) and the #1 thing that she has always talked about and she wants to be is a "Rock Star" (like her daddy who has a band)!!!! --You have to watch this, it is pretty cute & funny!

Gum

The other day, I couldn't find Vanessa anywhere, but I still hadn't checked her room...once I got there Vanessa was crying her eyes out and I had no idea why. We weren't mad at her for anything and then Dave asked her what was wrong...I left the room in case she was mad at me. She told daddy that she had her gum stuck in her hair and was scared for mommy (me) to find out. I think it would've been easier to be mad at her if the gum was stuck next to her scalp, but it was at the last two inches of her hair. So I got my sheers out and we gave her a haircut. I cut about two inches off, making it longer to grow her hair to her bum...but she needed to get rid of the dry ends anyway.

Vanessa's gorgeous hair before the gum

Vanessa holding up the hair with the gum, she is sad!

This is how much I cut off!

Top Ten things you shouldn't say to Women!

By JanaMarie Glass:

The top ten things you shouldn't say to women

10.) When are you due? (This is very bad because you don't know if they are pregnant or not!)

9.) Are you pregnant? (Just think how they would feel after finding out they are not!)

8.) Can I touch your belly? Or touching their belly without even asking (Pregnant or not, usually people don't want you to touch them at all, it makes them uncomfortable and it is invading their comfort zone)

7.) Do you really think you should be eating that? (Never say that even if the person has given up on their bodies, it just makes them eat more)

6.) You look like so and so... (This so and so, actor, actress or not… may be hideous to the person you are comparing them to! How many different meanings a woman can get from that by reading between the lines?)

5.) You're just being emotional! (Even in the heat of the moment this could be true but never should you classify a woman as emotional, it might make them more emotional or end up in a long, drag-out argument)

4.) You are a nag! (First off, why do men think that only women can be naggers? This is ridiculous; yes men can blow off things a little better at times, but if they were to run the household 100% would everything get done everyday? Also, little kids repeat things about 100X over and over which can put a woman in a state of nagging, I say men and children force women into nagging, but don't ever tell them that!)

3.) You're acting just like your mother/my mother/my ex-girlfriend etc. (All three are problematic! Women don’t want to be compared to their Mothers because in that moment they are thinking about the negative and they want to feel like that they have inherited the better qualities. Never should you compare your loved one to an EX, an EX should be talked about sparingly or not at all and why are you thinking about them in the first place? We are Individuals!)

2.) Relatives should never bring up past relationships of a woman’s spouse (This is another slap in the face, why are we talking about how wonderful "you think" a past relationship was, when there is a better, amazing one in front of your face? This is definitely degrading and a reason to blow up on someone!)

1.) I wish my brother married so and so (this is really a slap in the face when you are married to that person's brother and you obviously know you are his perfect match)

The Photographer

I love taking pictures and I try to make them look professional. Some day I will be a Photographer! My cousin Sarah, her friend, and my sister Becky and all of their kids met up with me at Murray Park so I could take some pictures of them. Here are the results.

The Tooth Fairy comes for the 1st time!

I found the cutest idea on the internet about a tradition you can start with your children when they have the Tooth fairy in their lives, and it is all about having a special little door that the Tooth Fairy can use when your child begins loosing their teeth! Vanessa lost her first tooth on April 3rd, the night that Dave finally came home from Boston. Vanessa's tooth had been loose for some time now, it got to the point where she would only eat applesauce, yogurt, pudding, soup and frosty's...on April 3rd her tooth still wasn't coming out but was hanging by a thread so I asked Vanessa if I could inspect her tooth to see how much longer until it would come out. As I was inspecting I yanked the tooth out as fast as I could, the funny thing is she didn't realize I had done it! But when she saw the tooth in my hand she was in disbelief, it was fun to see the emotion swept across her face! That night the Tooth Fairy came and left two dollars under her pillow.

The Bum Skoot

Finally, we upgraded our lame Qwest internet (I swear it was pretty much dial-up even though we apparently were paying $50/mo for DSL that never worked) to the amazing COMCAST. You can now see the famous "Bum Skoot" By Ashton Scott Glass! No need for walking he's got the fast and the furious "Bum Skoot."

Blue

Okay so I finally finished painting the kid's bathroom and I think it looks so much better! Let me know what you think of the finished results! Of course, we still need to replace the floor with tile, and eventually we'll replace the vanity, counter tops and bathtub, but this for now until we have the time to do so.

Twilight

Never have I ever been so into a book like I am when I read "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer. When I am captured in this world of "Twilight", I never want it to end, it's all I think about...Do you have an Edward Cullen in your life? "Twilight" is a must READ book! It took me two weeks to read this book and I loved every minute of it, I am excited to be reading Stephenie's next book, "New Moon". She has three "Twilight" series books right now:
1. Twilight
2. New Moon
3. Eclipse

She has a fourth book coming August 2nd, 2008..."Breaking Dawn" and also Twilight the Movie should be coming out December 12th, 2008, that is the release date for the moment! This has totally made my life exciting! I can't wait until the Movie comes out!!!
