Friend Reunion

I had a friend reunion with my friends from my ward growing up. I think we agreed that most of us hadn't seen each other for over 4-5 years...My friend Monica scheduled our little get-together, she was going to be in town (she lives in Washington State), so I picked her up and we had lunch with our friends Amber, Laurie, and Andrea at Chili's. We spent a few hours reminiscing and had fun doing so!

Easter: Another Christmas? NO!

We had a fun Easter, the children especially enjoyed every bit of it! Vanessa and Chandler woke up with baskets of spoiling fun! (Grandma & Grandpa Glass helped spoil with the two baskets in the front in the picture below) I like to get my kids things that won't perish (no candy) so that they can enjoy lasting fun. I usually get a small toy, a coloring book, and a few other small items. After Church, we went to my Aunt Karen's house to eat dinner and then we had a fun Easter egg hunt. Enjoy the pictures!

104.3

Ashton got so sick after he received his 12 month shots, he had a fever of 104.3 for 5 days! We had to keep icing him because the medicine was not lowering the fever at all! We took him to the doctor again to make sure he was going to be okay, he even had a rash all over his body. All he wanted to do was be held, and so he became a mommy's boy because of it! On top of the mean fever he had three teeth coming in at the same time! Plus, we had to treat him for the beginnings of an ear infection. Poor little boy! He is all better now!

Boondocks

We had my brother Brad and his wife Stephanie and their children come to Boondocks with us last Thursday. We had a lot of fun with them! We made sure that we rode the race cars, Brad & Dave played laser tag while Stephanie and I watched the kiddos play at Kiddie Cove! Brad and Steph left Dave and I with their kids Peter & Johnathon for awhile so they could ride the race cars, so we had Vanessa carry Peter all the way up the giant, four-story tall, soft play area and then she pushed him down a big slide (he wasn't happy about that part, but we got it on video!).We then had some fun at the Arcade!!!

I've joined your boat!

I know that some of my family and friends have dealt with this before and still are, but now I have joined your boat! I mentioned earlier that my husband got a higher position, Account Executive, in a company called Litle & Company based out of Boston, Massuchessetts...and now I get to see how it feels to have a husband who travels for his job! He will be working from our home when he is in town but he will be traveling at least twice a month, for a week or so at a time! A part of me doesn't want him gone but the other part is saying "I can handle this!" ...and so far I have. Dave has been gone for four days now, and still I have seven days or so until he comes home! It's been different with just me and three kids, surprisingly I have handled my three kids better than when Dave has been here at home....strange...but maybe I am growing in some way. I do miss him a whole lot!

32

I was going to post this blog two weeks ago and well, you know how it is, ya get pretty busy with life! Anyway, Ramseys and Vanessa now weigh the same, thirty-two pounds! But I am sure he is bigger by now, he is growing so fast but still so small for only 4 1/2 months being a Great Dane! Ramseys goes to puppy school every Wednesday and is learning obedience and commands, he is doing very well so far! I already knew how to train my dogs with sit, down, stay, off, come, shake a paw, roll over, etc. But the training is teaching me other things to do with him like watch me, leave it, and how to walk on a leash etc. that I needed some kind of help with. I figured if he is going to be such a large dog, he definitely needed to be taught some manners!

I re-model!

This is our "middle" bathroom, the bathroom the children are suppose to use. I decided to make a change to the cabinets because I am not too fond of oak cabinets, I am a person who loves cherrywood and walnut colors. But now I need ideas for the walls, so if you have an idea of what to paint the walls, let me know...

Before

After

So what do you think of the "Before" and "After"? I want oppinions! Does it look better or .....???

I was thinking about doing the walls this blue color, what do you think?

Wahoo!

I am thankful for...

About a year ago today, as I was recovering in the hospital after I had baby Ashton, Dave came up to me with a concerned look and said that he needed to look for a new job. He had done this a couple of times prior to this occasion, but I could tell this time he really had to. The few times before I wasn't concerned, I had this feeling everything would work out. This time I was a little bit on edge for the rest of the year, but I knew that 2008 would bring better changes. We always said to each other, maybe the job for him just wasn't available yet. So after praying, fasting, concern, and more concern Dave flew out to Boston last Friday for his last job interview with a company he had been talking with. They flew him first class, picked him up in a limo, paid for his expenses out there, he had a great ol' time...but still he had to wait it out until Monday to find out if he would receive a job offer. So as soon as Dave found out he had to call me from his work, and with great joy in his voice told me he had received a job offer with better pay and insurance! He was so excited to accept the job! I really did dance for joy! Our prayers were answered, no more concern!!! The job will be here in Utah, with some traveling and such...in a week and a half, Dave will be flying back out to Boston for 2 weeks of training...how on earth will I survive with three kids all by myself? A definite learning experience with much growing on my part! I am so thankful for a husband who is smart and loves to work! I am so thankful for all of his talents!!! For all those who prayed for us, Thankyou!!!! To HF: Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou!

Happy Birthday to you....

Happy Birthday to my little cute face, Ashton! I can't believe he is one years old already! I look at his small body and I just can't imagine him walking soon, he looks more like 6 months to me! He decided he is only going to skoot around, it is the cutest thing though and where ever we go, he is the center of attention. One boy in our ward always "borrows" Ashton to show off his little skoot to everyone in the ward! It's funny because everyone who doesn't have a baby skooting they wished theirs would skoot, Dave and I were the opposite, we wanted him to crawl, but now we are just loving the entertainment!

Our little Ashton was born March 11, 2007 at 12:17 p.m. weighing in at only 5 lbs 13 0z and 19 inches long. He was born on my 37th week of being pregnant via v-bac. He tried coming about three different times earlier than his birthdate. I almost had to have another c-section because the umbilical cord was wrapped around his shoulder preventing him to come down the birth canal, his little heart beat started dropping so fast, and then the doctor told me to start pushing when I was dialated to a "9", 20 minutes later he came into the world just fine and handsome!

Western Ward party!

I am on the activities committee for our Ward, it is one of my three callings that I have, so I was in charge of the decorations/centerpieces for our Western Party. It was so much fun, the whole family was invited and we had a chili cook-0ff, line-dancing and karaoke!!! This was one of my favorite ward parties! I got pictures of everyone but Dave! Oops!

Utah Jazz vs. Dallas Mavericks

My cousin Josh and his wife Becky have season tickets to the Utah Jazz game...one night Dave and I went to a game and we ran into Josh and Becky and watched the last half of the game with them...we decided that it would be fun to make it a double date the next time we went. So Monday, March 3rd we ate at the Sky box with them (oh and every guy would love the sky box down town, it has a massive T.V.!!!) and that was fun. Then we watched the game, but our seats were behind Josh and Becky, so at the last half of the game is when we were finally able to sit with them. It was a really exciting game, especially the last quarter, which is always my favorite especially if it is a close game, I thrive on the intensity!

The Jazz scored 16 straight points late in the fourth quarter in a 116-110 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night, coming back after blowing a 21-point lead. We had a blast!

My niece Alexia's baby blessing

March 2nd, 2008: My only niece, Alexia, had her baby blessing today! She is already 4 months old! After the baby blessing we had a dinner at my dad's office space, I made a yummy ice-cream dish! I bought Alexia this dress for her baby shower, I loved the dress so much that I bought one for my future baby girl, now hopefully one day I will get another one!

Poor baby!

This past week has been quite the week! I have been so busy with haircolors, haircuts, cleaning, children, dogs, church responsibilities, and sick children! So poor Ashton fell asleep in weird places because I couldn't get to him in time!
