I am thankful for....

I am thankful for Dave's talents! I totally look up to him and I am very grateful he has so many talents to share with me!!!! I use to be the fix-it gal when we lived in our condo, if something broke it would be me to fix it! As soon as we bought a home it opened up so many possibilities to Dave's talents that he never knew he had! He has learned to tile, put in real hardwood floors, custom fancy authentic mouldings, and fixing things especially our garage! What a guy!

Not only is he talented with home remodeling and repair, he is very talented with playing the guitar. He has a band called, "Cooking With Gandhi", and they have played a few live shows over the last few months. He really enjoys when he gets to play a guitar solo in his songs. Dave is really creative when he writes the songs too! I love my man!

Vanessa joins a soccer team!!!!

Yesterday, Vanessa started up Soccer for her first time! We figured she'd do really well playing soccer since she has been surrounded by boys most of her life and she seems to fit right in doing the boy things! Her and Alexia are the only girls in the family and there are eight boys! She also is the only girl in her school, there are 12 boys in her class. She is such a busy body, full of energy, I think this will do her some good! We are right so far, she loves playing soccer!

Dedicated to my Cousin Joe!

Joe love's my Great Dane, he would like one some day, so I dedicated this slideshow to him since he requested to see more pictures! This is my favorite dog, I think everyone should own a Great Dane sometime in their life!

Friend Reunion!

I have friends that I still hang out with that I met in Elementary School and Middle School! We all decided to have dinner at the Cheese cake factory with our significant others! It was fun to hang out with them again!

Here is my HUGE club sandwich!

Here is my friend Sally and her Salad!

Dave and his huge proportions!

From the mouth of Babes!

Dave and I asked Chandler the question, "What is your full-name?", and we were expecting him to say, "Chandler LeGrande Glass", like we had been practicing...but our little hilarious boy blurted out, "Chanman the Great Grand Glass, that's my name!" I proceeded to ask him where he got this name and he said, "At the Doctor's!" So it went from "Handsome" to "Chanman the Great Grand Glass!"

Over 11 months!

My little Ash is no longer little!!!! He is growing up so fast and I wish I could just freeze the time and ENJOY him right now FOREVER! Okay he is still little but not 5 lbs 13 oz anymore, he is over 18 lbs and just cute as a button. If you want some cute little buttons he grows them! he he... Ashton is my skooter, he decided not to take up crawling but to skoot, and it isn't just any skoot, he does this little jig or dance as he skoots, it is the cutest thing. Ashton is our musically inclined child so far, he loves to sing with you and rock out with his little munchkin body. He is very handsome and that's not just cause I am biased that he's mine, he is handsome! I get so many people telling me he looks like Chandler or he is a split image of Dave, but really I see Vanessa in his face, they have the same straight eyebrows, and the same little perfectly round dot of a dimple. I can't believe Ashton will be the big ONE next month! He has five little chompers in his mouth and one on the way. I enjoy every bit of my children...I try to just enjoy them rather than constantly disciplining them! I love that we have such healthy and beautiful children! I am so thankful!

52.17 weeks in a year

I decided that I would post one thing I am thankful for each week of the year. I need to catch up a little bit! I figure this exercise will keep me in check on what to be thankful for, and also it will remind me not to take things for granted!

I am thankful for: ANNE GEDDES!

She is such a talented photographer and I love her artwork! Every year I buy a calendar of hers, this is a must have in my book! I also own her book "PURE"! Eventually I would love to own all of her books! I just absolutely love her! You can also check out Anne's Biography on her website to learn more about her!

I am thankful for MY CAMERA! Last year my husband bought me a Canon PowerShot SD750 Digital ELPH for my birthday and I have been grateful ever since! If you know much about me I love taking pictures and I LOVE taking pictures of my children! Last year I took 1,073 pictures of Ashton alone! ...And that was pictures of JUST him in the photo! I took about 200 photos of Vanessa and 200 photos of Chandler...the reason Ashton's was so high, is because he was a new baby last year! I would love to be a photographer someday, here are some shots that I took that I call PRO-fessional! These are a few of my favorites:

Ashton's baby blessing shot

Ashton's Cowboy shots

This shot I took in Dave's parent's front yard, I am really proud of this one, it turned out exceptional!

My children, it's hard to get them all to cooperate

I am thankful for RAMSEYS! He is our Great Dane puppy and I have never owned such a loving dog! He is my giant lap dog, well soon to be GIANT! If he see's you sitting on the floor, he'll stop whatever he is doing and sprawl out on your lap! He is so sweet and very smart, if you ever hear anyone say Great Danes are dumb, do NOT listen to them...Ramseys has learned a few commands already, and he is almost 100 % potty trained. Ramseys is now 15 weeks old and a little over 16 lbs, we bought him when he was about 9 weeks and only 8 1/2 pounds! He loves our children and he has brought so much happiness to all of our Glass hearts! he he He is absolutely gorgeous, my most "handsome" dog! I have been totally converted to DANES! Everyone should have at least one in their life time!

I am thankful for our cars, and not just cause I have a "sweet" car, but I am thankful that I have transportation! My highschool car DIED a month after when Dave and I were first married so we ended up with ONE car for two years of our marriage, we were both working so it was really hard to deal with it. We also had tons of problems with break-ins, theft, and car problems...so I am also very grateful for Dependable transportation!

I AM VERY GRATEFUL FOR DAVE'S JOB! For the first 5 years of our marriage, we were sooo POOR! We had to get help from other places to have food and other things. It was so hard and I still look back at those days and wonder how on earth did we make it? I pray each day that we will never have to deal with it again! As soon as Dave graduated from the Uof U, I looked very hard for a job for him. I finally found his job that he has now and we are so very blessed to have it, it has allowed us to buy a home among other things!!!! Thank you Heavenly Father!

I am also thankful for our whirpool front loader washer and dryer! For the first five years of our marriage we also had to do laundry at Granny's house or my parent's house on Sundays, and it took all day on Sunday to get the laundry done! It was hard because we were working (doing laundry) on Sundays plus we didn't get to enjoy Sundays or really relax too much. I am so very blessed!

So my last thing I am thankful for for these 7 weeks, is Blogger.com! I love this new day and age where you can share your lives on the internet with all of your loved ones! It is so amazing how technology is quickly evolving! I love to BLOG! Thank you to everyone who has posted comments and showed their love! You all are awesome! Thank you!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I tagged myself! He said--She said

What is his name? David Legrande Glass
How long have you been married? 7 years and about 3 months! It was seven years on 11-17-07
How long did you date? Our first date was the last week of May 2000, we became boyfriend and girlfriend a few weeks later on June 12th, 2000 and were engaged the last week of August but the official date with wedding ring was September 20th, 2000, so it took us a total of 6 months.
How old is he? Dave just barely turned 31, he scheduled his sleep apnea test (sleep over in the hospital) on his birthday, he totally forgot about his birthday!
Who eats more sweets? That would have to be me! I use to not care for them but I sure do love them, I am trying to keep them out of the house for our protection...lol.
Who said I love you first? Dave said it first, I was too scared of commitment to say it first. It was Dave's first "I love you" to a girl, and I am his first girlfriend (he went on dates but no one special enough to consider a girlfriend) This is how it happened...Dave and I stole toilet paper out of my parents house during the night and toilet papered their house, siran wrapped my brother Brad's car and then toilet papered the big tree in the front yard, we climbed up the tree and then Dave started saying "I am going to have to keep you", and then he told me he loved me...but I didn't tell him that I loved him until four days later! I was fighting it! But I am so glad that I found him!
Who is taller? Dave...good thing, because I am a shorty... 5'3, and I believe Dave is 5'9, not too tall, but just perfect for me!
Who can sing better? I sing better only because Dave doesn't dare, and if he does he is screwing around...I love to sing, I use to say I rather sing than speak in church, but now I do both just fine!
Who is smarter? There's no way I can say one of us is smarter than the other, but we both have our specialties...Dave is a genious with useless knowledge, ha ha meaning he can remember anything, he is always the top salesman at work...he is wonderful at what he does...and I am great at keeping our home in order and taking care of children and doing a great job at hair...I am good at math and biology if you are asking about school.
Who does the laundry? ME, I don't know if I could let anyone do it, I am very particular in how it's done, you've seen Danny Tanner from Full House right? Well, I think I am turning into him!
Who pays the bills? Me again! Dave really enjoys not having to worry about it, I am perfect for it because I am a saver!
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? That would be me again, doesn't all women sleep on the right side? When Dave is out of town I sleep on his side so that I feel closer to him.
Who mows the lawn? Dave usually does, but I think I do it at least once a month.
Who cooks dinner? I usually cook dinner, when Dave use to work at the China and Cookware place for my dad...he cooked a lot, but I finally found some quick, yummy recipes and he prefers me to cook. Which is fine by me, I love it!
Who is more stubborn? With age comes stubborness, right? We both can be stubborn, we try not to!
Who kissed who first? Surprisingly Dave kissed me on our FIRST DATE!
Who proposed? Dave proposed in the tree where he first told me he loved me, it was special to the both of us...I figured if I have to wear my engagement ring before we were married why not Dave where his wedding ring too! So I proposed to him later in the tree and he wore his ring!
Who has more siblings? We both have the same amount...I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Dave has 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Who wears the pants? It depends on what area in our marriage you are talking about...if you all know my dad, I am a lot like him, I am the disciplinary...but Dave is learning more and more he needs to be equal with me when it comes down to it! We are equals, we have our special roles that we take on in our family.

I had fun doing this! I hope everyone has fun reading it!
