Park City

Happy July 4th!!! The Frisby family (that's me guys!) goes to Park City for Independence day each year. So what kinds of things do we do at Park City?
Thursday, July 3rd: This year was a little different because Dave and I decided to rent our own Condo in Park City at the David Holland Resort, The Lodge. We had a BBQ over at Aunt Karen, Aunt Janette and Granny's condo at the Marriott. Later we all played in the pool and sat in the hot tub.

Friday, July 4th: We woke up on the 4th to get ready to run the 5K, which is not as easy as it is down in SLC...the elevation is definitely different so it's harder to breathe! But we love doing it!!! This year I got my worst time ever, only because I get really bad cramps that prevent me from doing what I love, or else I would cremate everyone! My best time was in 2006 when I was barely pregnant with Ashton, I ran the race in 22 minutes. This year I took my precious time at a long 33:12 minutes!!!!
After the run we got ready for the day and had an AWESOME breakfast at my parent's condo at The Lodge. We had the whole shebang: pancakes, eggs, bacon, hash browns, OJ etc. Then we went on the Alpine Slide and the Coaster, the coaster is a newer slide, which it is really a ride, and it goes fast, it is hooked to the track so you can't fall off, but sometimes you feel like you are going to fall off because they tell you NOT to brake!
The kids had fun going down a bunch of Bouncer/slides...they had tons of fun!!! It wore them out! Then we took our naps, they were long because we were beat! We slept up until 6 p.m.!!! Then we had a pizza party over at my Aunt's and Granny's condo.
After wards we talked a bit and then sat out on "Our Spot" to watch the fireworks...The fireworks in Park City are always good! (But I think last years may have been better).
Our 4th was AWESOME!!!

Who knew Friday the 13th could be a wonderful day?

I know this post is long overdue, but I wanted to make sure that I wasn't lieing! Are you ready for the all wonderful news? Ready, Set, GO!

Chandler is Potty Trained!!!!!!

This is especially wonderful since I hate potty training, I was hoping that I wouldn't have to be a part of it. lol. But I guess if we didn't want him still in diapers by the time he was a daddy himself, I had to do some sort of encouragement.
We started with pullups...that didn't work!
We stopped...Dave tore out the main bathroom, so that didn't help.
We kept on avoiding it...but then I realized Chandler had to be potty trained for Preschool (which starts next month!) We tried pull-ups again, he was NOT getting it!!!!

Then finally I got him REAL underwear, he had one accident out in the back yard while he was playing, he must have been embarrassed or didn't like the feeling because ever since that one accident he has not had any more!!! HOORAY CHANDLER!!!

What have you created Simon?

ha ha ha! Simon's expression is priceless in Fantasia's performance! (2:45-time frame of his expression)

Hermana Frisby's Homecoming!!!

So what does JaNiCa FriZ-B have to do when a sibling comes home from their mission? Shock the shizzy-beetles right out of them!!!

So this time around I put my maternity clothes on and stuck a pillow inside of them, to surprise the living day lights out of Hermana Frisby!

It was GREAT! The SHOCK, the EXCITEMENT, the FRUSTRATION, ha ha ha...it was all in GREAT FUN...
... Britt was shocked as crap, and then I told her WAIT you have to see my belly so she intently waited and as I lifted up my shirt I showed her the pillow and just cracked up in my joke! She started using my belly as a punching bag, and then the length of absence was embraced by a BIG FAT HUG!!! I MISSED MY BRITT! She is one in a million with her personality, her humor, and of course the Frisby Beauty ha ha ha jk.

Hermana Brittany Frisby served a full-time mission in California, spanish speaking...she has been home for about a week now!!! My kids were already planning their sleep overs with her, since they dearly missed her! We are so very excited to have her near our hearts again!

This photo alone will probably make you want to read this post, LOL!

I have mentioned this before that I kept a real pregnancy (Chandler) a secret from Brad and Becky while they were on their missions. When Becky came home I was about 5 months pregnant or so, she was really mad at me that I kept it a secret.

Well I was SUPPOSE to be STILL PREGNANT when Brad got home, but Chandler came to us two weeks early, so when Brad got home his FIRST nephew was already a week old...

We walked into the door with Vanessa and Chandler in his car seat, Brad was associating the car seat with Vanessa since before he left for his mission, she was using the car seat, then when he saw that there was a baby inside the car seat he was thinking that maybe we were babysitting? But then he figured it out and realized we had had a BABY!!!! His face was in TOTAL SHOCK!!! It was GREAT!

Preschool Graduation

Vanessa could have gone to Kindergarten last year, but we decided to delay this until this fall. We knew she was socially ready, but had no idea if she was academically ready. I feel she is definitely ready now. She can write her name just fine, she can count to 100, and she is also learning how to read. She is a head shorter than most of her friends at her same age. Vanessa is more than outgoing, she is such a sweet, helpful girl.

Thursday, June 26th was the graduation ceremony for Vanessa at Draper Park, following we ate lunch with our family and all the other children's families and played at the Park. It was a fun day for Vanessa! We dolled her up with a "Princess do" for the special occasion.

Crayons

Last Monday for Family Home Evening we had a lesson where we colored a picture, we finally gave Ashton a chance to color for the very first time. He was sooooo excited! His little face just lit up like I had never seen before! He found something he was very thrilled about learning!

Sweet Face

I just had to post this, Ashton taking a long look in the mirror!

Happy Father's Day!

Dave got a little bit spoiled on Father's day, although we have been thinking about getting his big gift for some time now and finally we found a great deal on a Toyota Tundra!

I also put together a little frame with vinyl lettering for him, but I didn't get the picture I wanted in it yet, so that is coming sooner than later!

We gave both of our father's a gift certificate to go golfing! Happy Father's day DADS!

I haven't had a chance to blog for awhile now because of my crazy busy life, so excuse me for posting long overdue posts on my blog!
